Privacy Policy
1) Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Dappled Studios and its apps (including Topple Town) collect, use, and share information when you use our apps and services.
2) Information we collect
A. Information you provide
If you contact us for support, we may receive the information you send (for example: your email address, message content, screenshots, and any device/app details you include).
B. Information collected automatically (app + device)
Our apps and/or third-party SDKs used in our apps may automatically collect:
- Engagement/analytics events (e.g., sessions, gameplay progress, ad impressions, rewarded events)
- Diagnostics (crash logs, error logs, performance metrics)
- Advertising identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID / AAID, and similar identifiers)
- App information (app version, install/source, session timestamps)
- Approximate location inferred from IP address (coarse; not precise GPS)
- Device information (device model, OS version, language)
3) How we use information
We use information to:
- Comply with legal obligations
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues
- Enable advertising (if the app includes ads) and measure ad performance
- Provide customer support
- Operate and improve our apps (debugging, stability, balancing, performance)
4) Sharing of information
We may share information with:
- Legal authorities if required to comply with law, enforce our rights, or protect users and the public
- Service providers / SDK partners that help us run our apps (analytics, crash reporting, advertising/mediation, attribution)
5) Third-party SDKs
Our apps may use third-party SDKs such as:
- Analytics / crash reporting tools (depending on the build)
- Attribution/analytics providers (e.g., Meta/Facebook, if enabled)
- Ads mediation and ad networks (e.g., ironSource/Supersonic and partners)
These third parties may process information under their own privacy policies.
6) Your choices and controls
You may have options to control data collection:
- Where required, consent choices may be provided for personalized advertising
- Uninstall the app to stop further collection from that device
- Reset or limit your Advertising ID in your device settings
7) Data retention
- Data collected by third-party SDK providers is retained according to those providers' policies unless deleted/anonymized through a request (see below).
- We retain support communications as long as needed to address your request and keep reasonable records.
8) Data Deletion Request
You can request deletion of personal data associated with your use of our apps.
How to request deletion:
Email bartek@dappledstudios.com with the subject line: "Data Deletion Request" and include:
- Your Advertising ID (AAID/IDFA) if you can access it, or any other identifier/details that help us locate your data (for example: support email used, approximate last played date)
- Your approximate install date (if known)
- Your device platform (Android/iOS)
What we do:
- If some data is processed by third-party SDK providers (ads/analytics), we will take reasonable steps to request deletion/anonymization where applicable, and/or provide guidance on any provider-specific steps if needed.
- We will delete or anonymize data we control that we can reasonably identify.
9) Children's privacy
Our apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us at bartek@dappledstudios.com and we will take steps to delete it.
10) International users
If you use our apps outside Canada, your information may be processed in other countries where we or our service providers operate.
11) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL and update the "Effective date."
